I usually address readers in poetic form. But now I decided to make an exception to tell you about the book you are holding in your hands. The poems in it are conventionally divided into two parts, called Online and Offline. Electronic devices have become a part of our lives - we write blogs, communicate on Skype, on social networks, and facts and images caught on the Internet form our picture of the world. Its boundaries are expanded, but enclosed in a blue rectangle of the screen. The heroes of the first part of the book became close to me thanks to virtual reality. But the line between the virtual and the real, the world of fantasy and what we can reach with our hands and lips, what is happening here and now, is much more blurred than it might seem at first glance. In other words, this frontier takes place not on paper, but in the head, or, if you like, in the heart. My comrade in arms, the poet Yaroslav Minkin, called poetry “a medicine for flight.” I wish you a pleasant reading, a successful flight and unforgettable heroic adventures - and where and how - online or offline - is up to you.
