The author of the article (book) is a Marxist from Kostroma, the late Avenir Soloviev. His work is devoted to comparing the views on economic processes in Soviet Russia during the NEP of two political opponents - the Bolshevik leader V. Lenin and the cadet N. Ustryalov. The author proves: both were of the opinion that Russia is moving towards capitalism. But everyone hoped that in the end it would give the results he needed.
