The collective monograph attempts to interdisciplinary analyze the communicative and civilizational nature of the phenomenon of fakes and post-truth, including evaluative and emotional factors in the formation and dynamics of the semantic picture of the world, taking into account modern media technologies. The semantics and pragmatics of fakes, their dependence on target contexts, socio-cultural practices, the generation and use of fakes in network communications, historical memory conflicts and information wars are examined in detail. Special attention is paid to the personological dimension of fakes, the imbalance between rights, freedom and responsibility in public communication. Thus, the emphasis in understanding fakes shifts from the assessment of truth to the attitude towards the truth, to the responsibility for “taking the word.” The book is intended for specialists and a wide range of people interested in the problems of modern social communication. The publishing layout of the book is preserved in PDF A4 format.
