This publication is the fourth in a series of books, including the early works of A.F. Losev.  It consists of works devoted to the problems of artistic and musical creativity. Of these, “On the Worldview of Aeschylus,” “Philosophical Commentary on the Dramas of Richard Wagner,” “Essay on Music,” “History of Aesthetic Teachings” (Preface and Introduction) are published for the first time.  The last work is remarkable for the frank self-characterization of the author contained in it, which provides the key to understanding A. F. Losev - teacher, writer and philosopher.  In general, the volume demonstrates the depth and scope of the aspirations of the then young scientist.
