Anton Makarenko is a brilliant teacher and educator. According to UNESCO experts, only four teachers in the world who defined the way of pedagogical thinking in the 20th century have received international recognition. These are John Dewey, Georg Kerschensteiner, Maria Montessori and Anton Makarenko. Makarenko’s education system is based on three main principles - education by work, play and education by the team. And in Russia, the name of Anton Semenovich Makarenko has long become a household name and is associated with a person who is able to find the right approach to the most difficult child... In 2016, the “Pedagogical Poem” marks the 80th anniversary, a separate edition of which appeared in three parts in 1936. This edition publishes the completely restored text.
