Dynamo Moscow's tour of Britain in the post-war autumn of 1945 is a striking milestone in the history of Russian football. The Soviet Union even published a book “19:9” (total goal score) dedicated to the tour, a documentary film was shown in cinemas and it attracted crowds. 70 years have passed, but football fans in Russia remember this beautiful page. The proposed book by a modern English author is a look from the “foggy shore” at this tour, a story (based on the results of archival “excavations”) about how the event was seen by the host side in the homeland of football. The author is objective enough to make the book interesting to read.
