In a magical land, a variety of creatures live peacefully next to people: gnomes, goblins and trolls. They grow fruits and vegetables, brew ale, and make beautiful trinkets. And only the wisest of the elders know that a huge, complex, hostile world stretches around the happy country. Gigantic mountains rise here, the bones of giants decay in misty gorges, and dragons live in deep caves, guarding the countless treasures of ancient kings. Klaus, a resident of a magical land, is sent by the elders on a long journey to the Severing Mountain, whose double snow-capped peak is not even visible. The purpose of the journey is not revealed to the daredevil; according to the official version, on the top of the mountain he must meet his beloved and find happiness. But there is sadness in the guy's heart. All his thoughts are about the girl, whose silhouette he saw on a rock in the moonlight one night.
