Robert Browning was born into the family of a bank official. Since childhood, I have been interested in romantic poetry. He was a member of the literary circle of Dickens and Wordsworth, and was friends with Tennyson. He visited Russia in 1833. His fame was brought to him by the play Pippa Passes By (1841) and the collection of poems Dramatic Lyrics (1842). Browning married the poet Elizabeth Barrett Moulton in 1846. He lived mainly in Florence. Died in Venice in 1889. Buried in Westminster Abbey, London.
