The 2nd volume of the Anthology includes plays by French playwrights created in the second half of the 20th - early 21st centuries. Differing in plots and themes, writing style and tonality, they reflect the richness of the French theatrical palette of 1970–2006. All of them successfully performed on the stage of theaters around the world, collecting huge halls, receiving prestigious awards and prizes. Their own original view of life and people, sparkling humor, inexhaustible imagination, psychological authenticity and subtle observation make these plays real pearls of drama. Published in Russian for the first time. The publication was carried out within the framework of the Pushkin program with the support of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French Embassy in Russia. The publication was carried out with the help of the “Plan Traduire” project of the Culture France association within the framework of the France-Russia Year 2010.
