The book by the French poet Guillaume Apollinaire (1880 - 1918), an outstanding representative of European culture of the 20th century, includes translations that give a multifaceted image of his lyrical heritage. Poet, prose writer, playwright, literary critic and art theorist - it was in lyric poetry that Apollinaire summed up traditional poetry and at the same time showed himself as an innovator and experimenter.
