The book was previously published under the title “33 Important Whys.” How to organize your life, deal with emotions and build relationships with friends and parents."
The authors are Doctor of Psychology and expert on emotional intelligence Victoria Shimanskaya and children's sociologist Alexandra Chkanikova - mothers of teenagers, with all that it entails: with headaches pain, fears, anxieties, hysterics and long night conversations. This book includes answers to 33 questions that often arise in modern teenagers. Questions about relationships, about friendship, about the choice of profession, and most importantly - about emotions that every now and then overwhelm, prompt one or another (not always reasonable) actions, and sometimes simply interfere with life.
For each question the authors have selected simple, useful practices that will help a teenager get to know yourself better, develop emotional intelligence and learn to cope - with yourself, with difficult feelings, with our difficult world.

For a teenager
Being a teenager is quite a challenge. It's like flying into space without preparation. How it works the ship on which you go on a trip? How to manage it? Which buttons should I press? What to do anyway?!
Probably, you also sometimes feel like such an astronaut. You have a “ship”: head, body, mind, emotions - but how does it all work? What needs to be done so that sadness, joy, anger, envy, fear do not interfere with life?
We have collected in this book 33 questions that teenagers asked us at different times. All these questions are in one way or another connected with emotions - with what frightens us, upsets us, worries us, enrages us, captivates us. We answer each question and then offer useful exercises and practices. They help a lot in understanding yourself: try to do them - even if not all of them, but only some.
In general, this book will prepare you for what’s to come “flight”, will explain what, how and why you feel, and will help you find yourself in that “space” where you go straight from childhood.
For parents
For all teenagers there are questions that for some reason they are in no hurry to ask their parents. For example, about feelings: it’s terribly interesting why everything suddenly began to irritate you or why you still won’t fall in love, but asking mom or dad about this is somehow awkward.
Often our children spend a long time and painfully trying to figure it out on their own in your emotions. Some people succeed, some don’t, but almost always it happens later than we would like.
This book consists of answers to questions from children aged 12–16 about feelings and emotions. These questions are serious and deep - and, by the way, they indicate that teenagers are not so frivolous, as they sometimes seem.
It is impossible to give comprehensive answers to these questions: behind each of the 33 topics there is an infinity of points of view, paths and solutions. Therefore, we answer not in too much detail, but honestly, based on personal and professional experience. Our main task is to relieve the internal tension of teenagers: let them understand that they can and should ask, talk, and think about emotions.
Our book will in no way replace you for children - living and interested loved ones. It will be great if you read it too, and our 33 questions will become a reason to calmly talk with a teenager about what worries both him and you.
