This project is a new stage in extensive work on processing, classification and preparation for publication of field materials from the Polesie ethnolinguistic expedition to Ukrainian, Belarusian and Russian Polesie under the leadership of Academician N.I. Tolstoy in the 80s - early 90s of the 20th century .

The main practical goal of this project is scientific preparation for the publication of a corpus of field materials on Polesie demonology, which includes information about the mythologization of natural phenomena (for example, a whirlwind) and human conditions (for example, the personification of diseases, fate, death ), as well as the results of the activities of “those in the know” (evil eye, damage).
