This book is truly unique - this is Bradbury's very first collection, which has not been reprinted since then, and has not been available anywhere else in the world and in any language for 60 years! Selected stories from The Dark Carnival (including such classics as "The Wanderer" and "Killer Baby", "The Scythe" and "Uncle Einar") were revised and included in later collections, but Bradbury reissued his debut in its original form categorically refused. It was possible to convince the master exactly twice: in 2001, he agreed to a collector's reissue in a tiny edition (equipped with several prefaces, the author's introductory commentary to each story and an afterword by Clive Barker), which immediately also became a bibliographic rarity, and in 2008 - to a Russian edition.< /p>
