The first book of the five-volume work of the national leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan. This work, which is a Defense Speech intended for the European Court of Human Rights, summarizes and expands on the author's previous monographs. In a historical and philosophical study, Abdullah Ocalan offers his vision of the emergence and development of history from the primitive communal system to the present day, gives a deep analysis of civilization and statehood, arguing his point of view on political processes. This defensive speech should be an identification of the problems and the need to overcome capitalist modernism and consideration, as an alternative solution, of the political system of democratization and its connection with the ideas of freedom.
