This defense speech has the nature of complementing all previous defense speeches of A. Ocalan. This speech pays special attention to how Turkey is entering the process of negotiations regarding the legal and political unity of Asia Minor with the EU, and the Kurdish issue will play an important role in the successful development of this process. Political, democratic criteria, as well as human rights criteria, can be perceived as criteria for solving the Kurdish problem. The choice of Western civilization, made in favor of democracy and human rights, will not give any other chance than this.
