Goran Voinovich's novel “Chefurs Out!” written in the “Chefur language,” the motley jargon of the young inhabitants of the Ljubljana district of Fuziny, where the “in large numbers” live - immigrants from the southern republics of the former Yugoslavia, whom the Slovenians call “Chefurs” (from the Serbo-Croatian curse “chifut” - Jew). The hero of the novel is seventeen-year-old Marko Djordjic, a second-generation Chefur, who sees in “Chefur” not only a misfortune, but also a reason for pride, for outrageousness, for youthful self-affirmation, with irony and pain he talks about several days of his life, crushed by many internal and external stereotypes , the life of a stranger in his native country.
