Lying underground, they slander, mean, lie, fawn and settle scores almost more enthusiastically than they once did on earth. However, they can’t do anything - they can only talk, and therefore the whole novel is written entirely as a polylogue. "Бруд кладовищенський" - це справжня перлина ірландської літератури, яка вражає своєю оригінальністю та глибиною. Автор майстерно створює світ, де мертві персонажі, незважаючи на своє фізичне відсутність, продовжують жити у своїх розмовах, плітках і конфліктах. Цей роман - це не лише комедія, а й проникливий аналіз людської природи, де кожен персонаж представляє собою певний типаж, знайомий нам з реального життя. Полілог, в якому написаний текст, надає книзі динаміки та живості, а читач відчуває себе свідком справжнього театру на кладовищі. Хоча переклад має деякі недоліки, загальний зміст і стиль твору залишаються вражаючими. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує іронію, комізм та глибокі роздуми про життя і смерть!
