The book by Oxford University professor Alistair McGrath is an excellent example of contemporary Christian apologetics. This is a brilliant, reasoned response to the leading New Atheist ideologist Richard Dawkins. The author gives an overview of the main ideas of Dawkins and objects to his opponent from the standpoint of a Christian scientist. Being not only a theologian, but also a molecular biologist, McGrath convincingly shows that science and religion are not in opposition to each other, and the scientific view of the world does not necessarily lead to atheism, as Dawkins tries to convince his followers. Як професор Оксфордського університету, Макграт не лише демонструє глибоке знання теології, але й наукові основи, що робить його аргументи надзвичайно переконливими. Він майстерно розкриває ідеї Річарда Докінза, ставлячи під сумнів його твердження про те, що наука автоматично веде до атеїзму.
