This is a brilliant, reasoned response to the leading New Atheist ideologist Richard Dawkins. The author gives an overview of the main ideas of Dawkins and objects to his opponent from the standpoint of a Christian scientist. Being not only a theologian, but also a molecular biologist, McGrath convincingly shows that science and religion are not in opposition to each other, and the scientific view of the world does not necessarily lead to atheism, as Dawkins tries to convince his followers.
