Data on the breeding and rearing of clariid (African) catfish in recirculating water systems (RAS) are limited in domestic literature and world practice.In this manual, we tried to be as complete and reliable as possible (including our practical experience) present data on the characteristics of the base for carrying out work on the reproduction and cultivation of catfish, note the features of the cultivation of this object at different stages of ontogenesis, suggest different schemes for growing catfish.The main attention in the manual is paid to the cultivation of commercial products and the formation of a herd of producers, its maintenance and operation, as well as the sequence outlines the technological processes of growing planting material and marketable products. Preliminary norms for breeding and growing catfish in RAS, as well as the features of RAS construction are presented.
