An unexpected proposal threatens the friendship between Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. But this problem will have to wait, because a new dangerous planet with an uncertain future awaits both Jedi. A Jedi must be a fearless warrior, a guardian of justice and an expert in the ways of the Force. However, perhaps the main duty of any Jedi is to pass on his knowledge to others. Master Yoda trained Dooku; Dooku trained Qui-Gon Jinn; and now Qui-Gon has his own Padawan. Qui-Gon has faced all sorts of dangers more than once, but nothing frightens him more than the thought that he might turn out to be a bad teacher. Obi-Wan Kenobi has deep respect for his teacher, but does not always understand him. Well, why does Qui-Gon need to constantly break the rules that are mandatory for all Jedi? Why does he get carried away with ancient prophecies instead of dealing with more pressing issues? And why didn't Qui-Gon say that he was considering an invitation to the Jedi Council, knowing full well that it would end their partnership? The simple answer frightens Obi-Wan: he turned out to be a bad student. When a Jedi named Rael Averross, another of Dooku's students, asks for their help in resolving a political dispute, Jinn and Kenobi go to the royal court of the planet Pigel, convinced that this is their last expedition together. . But a seemingly simple task quickly becomes complicated due to intrigue and visions of a bloody catastrophe that have nestled in Qui-Gon’s head. While Qui-Gon's faith in the prophecies grows, Obi-Wan's faith in his master is tested. And, as luck would have it, it is at this moment that a new threat appears, against which the teacher and student must act unitedly as never before... or separate forever.
