The renowned philologist Alexander Zholkovsky managed to create his own original metaliterary genre - the vignette: a fragmentary, fictionalized, free memoir. Книга "Всі свої" Олександра Жолковського - це справжній літературний експеримент, який захоплює своєю оригінальністю та глибиною. Автор майстерно поєднує віньєтки, що є фрагментами його особистого досвіду, з образами відомих культурних діячів, створюючи унікальний портрет епохи. Читати ці нотатки - це ніби зануритися в світ спогадів, де кожна історія, навіть найменша, несе в собі величезний заряд емоцій та думок. Жолковський вміє передати атмосферу часу, в якому живе, і його спостереження про людей навколо, що робить цю книгу не лише цікавою, але й дуже близькою для читача. Хоча в тексті зустрічається нецензурна лексика, вона органічно вписується в контекст і підкреслює емоційний стан героїв. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки перекладу, загальна якість тексту вражає.
