An unknown disease has killed more than 90% of the country's children. The survivors acquired strange, frightening abilities. All of them are now held in concentration camps, deprived of freedom, normal life and individuality. Ruby spent six long years in the camp, but in the end she managed to escape. Joining a group of other fugitives, she searches for the East River, a place where people like her can feel safe. Головна героїня Рубі, яка провела шість років у концтаборі, є символом надії та сили духу. Її втеча та подальші пригоди разом з іншими втікачами викликають глибокі емоції та змушують задуматися про цінність свободи. Автор майстерно передає атмосферу безвиході та страху, але водночас показує, як важливо боротися за свої права та мрії. Хоча переклад книги може містити деякі недоліки, це не зменшує сили та глибини сюжету. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить динамічні та зворушливі історії про виживання у складних умовах
