Prosper Redding is an ordinary twelve-year-old boy. He has a twin sister, parents who founded a charitable foundation, and a whole bunch of rich relatives, and he himself is a talented artist. Автор майстерно передає переживання дванадцятирічного хлопчика, який, незважаючи на своє багатство та успіхи родини, відчуває себе ізгоєм. Ця історія про пошук себе, прийняття власних недоліків і боротьбу з внутрішніми демонами, що робить її надзвичайно актуальною для підліткової аудиторії. Сюжет сповнений інтриг та несподіваних поворотів, а персонажі, зокрема Проспер і його сестра, дуже реалістичні та зрозумілі. Хоча переклад книги може містити деякі недоліки, це не заважає загальному сприйняттю історії.
