This publication fills the gap that exists in the understanding of a wide range of readers about ancient Hellenic poetry. The collection includes, respectively, representatives of three poetic genres in their development over five centuries: post-Homeric epic in all its varieties from Hesiod to Rian, elegy and iambic from Archilochus to Callimachus, melic from Alcman to the hymns of the 3rd century. and anonymous agricultural and drinking songs. For the first time, a significant part of the texts has been specially translated, including the latest papyrus discoveries.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
