You should not think that this heroic ascent was only the embodiment of the writer’s mountaineering passion, fortunately prompted by the circumstances of the spring and summer of 1917. Obviously, behind the conquest of Kachkar for Ilya Zdanevich there was something completely different. If you believe his notebooks, he and the artist Mikhail Le-Dantu, no later than the autumn of 1916, had the idea of creating a new creative association, named after the geographical latitude of Tiflis. Friends found the “41°” University in Petrograd; later, a group with that name would make itself known in the capital of independent Georgia; eventually, the University and the publishing house of the same name would appear in Paris. And in the fall of 1917, Zdanevich separated from the archaeological expedition through the territories of north-east Turkey and not only performed an act of futuristic elevation, climbing to Olympus, he climbed the mountain located at the intersection of the 41st parallel and the 41st meridian, giving the neighboring Kachkar on the nameless peak is the name of his recently deceased friend. The publishing layout is saved in A4.pdf format.
