The last novel by the Russian writer and avant-garde theorist Ilya Zdanevich (Ilyazd), written in 1930 in Paris and not published during his lifetime. The adventurous and mystical events of the work take place in 1920–1921. in Constantinople, living in anticipation of truly revolutionary events. Its central images are the Hagia Sophia, the capture of which is planned by Russian refugees, and Constantinople itself, which is preparing to fall victim to the Soviet invasion. The text contains detailed historical and literary comments, 4 appendices have been added to the novel, including the author’s military reports from Turkey 1914–1916 . The book contains 19 illustrations by the transfurist poet B. Constrictor. The publishing design is preserved in PDF A4 format.
