Al-Muntahab - tafsir of the Koran. According to Islamic scholars, in particular, Imam al-Suyuti and Hafiz Ibn Hajar, the transmission of Divine Revelation into another language should consist of two parts: in the first it is necessary to convey the words of the Koran as accurately as possible, and the other will reveal the meanings, that is, it will already be not the text of the Koran, but its interpretation, tafsir. This translation is the second part, that is, not a literal translation of the Koran, but a short, simplified tafsir “Al-Muntahab”.
