Книга "Місія в Іонічному морі" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям у світі історичних романів. Автор вдало відтворює атмосферу Середземного моря, занурюючи читача у світ морських битв, стратегій та пригод. Джек Обрі та Стівен Метьюрін, як завжди, вражають своєю відвагою та винахідливістю. Ця частина серії показує, як герої змінюються з часом, стаючи більш зрілими та досвідченими, але їхня пристрасть до моря та пригод залишається незмінною. Незважаючи на те, що блокада Тулона може здаватися нудною, автор вміло вміщує в сюжет елементи напруги та несподіванки, які тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Однак, варто зазначити, що переклад, хоча й якісний, іноді містить незначні помилки, які можуть відволікати від читання. Проте, це не зменшує загального враження від книги.
