Книга "Пост-капітан" від Патріка О'Брайана є чудовим продовженням історії, яка захоплює читача з перших сторінок. Автор майстерно відтворює атмосферу морських подорожей, з усіма їхніми труднощами та небезпеками, а також показує глибокі стосунки між персонажами, що робить їх ще більш реалістичними та близькими. Обрі та Метьюрін знову в центрі уваги, і їхні пригоди на березі та в морі сповнені динаміки та емоцій. Незважаючи на те, що капітану пропонують жертву корабельних експериментів, його рішучість і відвага вражають. Книга не тільки розважає, але й змушує задуматися про дружбу, відданість та мужність. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить історичні романи та морські пригоди!
