The final, twelfth volume of the unnumbered Collected Works of Lydia Korneevna Chukovskaya (1907–1996), prepared by her daughter Elena Tsesarevna Chukovskaya (1931–2015). Elena Tsesarevna managed to read the layout of this book in the hospital a few days before her death. Lydia Chukovskaya kept detailed diaries from 1938 to 1995. Based on these diaries, her three-volume “Notes about Anna Akhmatova” and the volume “From the Diary. Memoirs”, included in the Collected Works. For this book, records of literary and social events, impressions of books read, portraits of contemporaries and the author’s thoughts about the purpose of literary creativity and his own diary were selected.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program.
