For the first time, Lydia Chukovskaya’s autobiographical story “Procherk” is being published as a separate publication. The events of the story take place in the 1920-1930s: Lydia Chukovskaya’s student years, her arrest and exile in Saratov, work in Marshakov’s editorial office of the Leningrad “Detizdat”... Many pages concern personal circumstances. Lydia Chukovskaya's second husband, astrophysicist M. P. Bronstein, was arrested in 1937 and executed in February 1938. As an appendix, the book contains poems that Lydia Chukovskaya dedicated to him.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. Книга «Прочерк» Лідії Чуковської – це не просто автобіографія, а справжнє літературне дослідження душі людини, що пережила важкі часи. Чуковська майстерно передає атмосферу 1920-1930-х років, з усіма їхніми труднощами та викликами. Читачі можуть відчути її переживання під час арешту, заслання та втрати близьких. Описуючи свої студентські роки, авторка не лише розкриває власну історію, а й порушує важливі питання про свободу, кохання та людську гідність. Вірші, присвячені її чоловікові, додають ще більше емоційності та глибини тексту. Хоча переклад тексту за допомогою штучного інтелекту має свої недоліки, загальна якість книги залишається високою. Рекомендую цю повість всім, хто цікавиться історією, літературою та людськими долями, адже вона залишає глибокий слід у серці.
