The publication includes two books: “Dragged by Fate” by Igor Bunich and “Incredible Victory” by the famous American author Walter Lord. The author’s well-known study “Operation Thunderstorm or an error in the third sign” is dedicated to the pre-war events on the European continent. No less significant events that largely determined the path of world development in the second half of the 20th century took place in Japan and the USA. The books included in this volume tell about these events.
