Сюжет сповнений напруження, і читачу не дається можливість відволіктися, адже кожна сторінка приносить нові виклики та несподівані повороти. Взаємини між персонажами, які Джим зустрічає на своєму шляху, додають книжці особливого шарму, адже тут ідеться не лише про виживання, а й про любов та відданість у найскладніших обставинах.
