But the very first battle in September 1943 showed that an eighteen-year-old boy fought fiercely and skillfully. Events in the novel unfold with incredible speed: Derevianko and Rodin, following an unknown denunciation, end up in a penal company, miraculously survive in a mortal battle, and it is to them that the army commander entrusts an extremely dangerous task - to steal the enemy’s new top-secret tank “Royal Tiger”. Then the secret will be revealed: who really is this desperate warrior-mechanic (by the way, who had a real prototype in life).
