The publication presents photographs and photo postcards of the second half of the 19th – early 20th centuries with images of Baltic armored ships, squadron battleships and pre-dreadnought battleships, stored in the funds of the Russian State Archive of the Navy (RGAVMF). The photographic documents placed in the illustrative part of the album are arranged in ascending order of the numbers of archival files, the titles of which formed the basis for the captions. A small part of the illustrations represents fragments of archival documents, which is not specified separately. The publication shows the codes under which the cases are stored in the funds of the Russian State Academy of Veterinary Medicine. The second and third pages of the cover provide brief information about the service of the Baltic battleships, starting from the date of enrollment in the fleet lists and ending with the date of transfer of the ship for dismantling for metal.
