Роман "Взяття Ізмаїла" дійсно заслуговує на свою Букерівську премію, адже він поєднує в собі елементи загадки та містифікації, які тримають читача в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Автор майстерно грає з історичними подіями, переплітаючи їх із реаліями різних епох, що створює унікальну атмосферу. Герої, як реальні, так і вигадані, живуть у світі, де минуле та сучасність зливаються, а їхні долі переплітаються в неймовірний спосіб. Мене вразила сучасна лексика, яка органічно поєднується зі старослов'янськими елементами, що підкреслює глибину та складність російської історії. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має свої недоліки, загальна якість твору не зменшується. Це не просто книга, а справжня літературна подорож, яка змушує задуматися про минуле та його вплив на наше сьогодення. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує глибокі та змістовні твори!
