Peter Hax (1928–2003) was a German playwright, poet, essayist, translator, historian and literary theorist, member of various academies and winner of various literary prizes and awards, who wrote fairy tales all his life. These tales are addressed not only to children, but also to adults, in the hope that they will think together about how our huge, still mysterious and yet beautiful world works.
