Автор майстерно зображує складні долі молодого покоління дворянського роду Олексіних, які переживають жахи Першої світової війни та революції. Особливо вражає головний герой, який, незважаючи на всі труднощі, залишається вірним своїм принципам і Батьківщині. Це не просто історія про війну та політичні зміни, а глибоке дослідження людської душі, родинних зв'язків та відданості. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних помилок, загальна якість перекладу не заважає насолоджуватися цим шедевром.
