The Jewish girl Eva and the German woman Lisa did not know each other until they became prisoners of the Gurs concentration camp in France. Ця книга справді вражає своєю глибиною та емоційною насиченістю. Історія Єви та Лізи, двох дівчат, які опинилися в жахливих умовах концтабору, показує, як навіть у найтемніші часи людство здатне на творчість і підтримку. Ідея створення кабаре в таких жахливих умовах є символом надії та боротьби за життя. Автор майстерно передає атмосферу безвиході, але водночас і силу дружби, яка допомагає героям витримати всі труднощі. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, це не зменшує загального враження від книги. Я рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує літературу, що піднімає важливі соціальні теми та показує, як навіть у найгірших обставинах можна знайти світло. Це не просто історія про виживання, а про справжню людяність.
