The book tells about the life and creative path of the poet Arseny Tarkovsky (1907-1989). His biography is the life of our country. Even in the darkest, most hopeless years, he remained himself, never ceasing to write poems that were perfect in form, reflections on the meaning of life, about the place of man in the universe, about love, about war, about childhood... “If we do not recognize the role of the poet as a participant in the creation of life, then one cannot understand the essence of poetry,” the poet wrote. Based on unique, in many cases previously unpublished materials, the book tells about the difficult and wonderful fate of the poet, his creativity, personal dramas, disappointments and hopes.
