She committed suicide. In search of answers, Kaspar dives into the past of a woman whom he thought he knew well. Some questions give rise to others, Kaspar's investigation leads him to strange, dark places where the past is brought back to life...

Глибока та зворушлива історія про кохання і втрати
Роман "Онука" Бернхарда Шлінка вражає своєю емоційною глибиною і складністю тем, які він піднімає. Автор майстерно досліджує питання пам'яті, втрати та наслідків вибору, які ми робимо в житті. Історія Каспара і Біргіт, їхнє кохання, що пережило багато випробувань, змушує задуматися про те, як минуле впливає на наше сьогодення. Особливо вражає момент, коли Каспар дізнається про таємниці, які приховувала його дружина, і його спроби зрозуміти, чому вона зробила те, що зробила. Ця книга не лише про любов, але й про складні стосунки між поколіннями, про те, як важливо знати і приймати минуле, щоб жити в теперішньому.
