The author, a convinced opponent of populist interpretations and pseudo-historical reconstructions of the image of Christ, strives to reveal to readers “his” Jesus and, through parallels with modern times, to bring Him closer to us. “Jesus of Nazareth” represents the first part of the planned voluminous work and covers the period from the Baptism in the Jordan to the Transfiguration.
