“Two giants”, “blocks”, “giants”, “two geniuses of the golden age of Russian culture”, “the greatest writers in the entire history of culture”. This was the name given to contemporaries of two great Russian writers – Fyodor Dostoevsky and Leo Tolstoy. And these high ranks remain with them to this day: no one has ever competed with them. Moreover, many of today's famous writers admit that the “two giants” were their Teachers: they built on their works to create their own artistic cosmos. Of course, like all bright personalities, Tolstoy and Dostoevsky had both enemies and envious people, calling the first “a gentleman who is a fool for Christ”, and the second a “tarantula”, “a jar of spiders”. Книга "Толстой та Достоєвський" - це справжня подорож у світ двох геніїв російської літератури, які залишили незгладимий слід в історії культури. Автор майстерно розкриває особистості Толстого та Достоєвського, їхні творчі шляхи, філософські погляди та вплив на сучасників і майбутні покоління. Читач має можливість зануритися в їхній світ, зрозуміти, чому їх вважають "велетнями" літератури. Окремо варто відзначити якість перекладу, яка, хоча й має деякі недоліки, все ж дозволяє відчути дух оригіналу. Ця книга стане чудовим доповненням до бібліотеки кожного, хто цінує класичну літературу та хоче глибше зрозуміти творчість цих двох великих авторів. Рекомендую всім, хто хоче відкрити для себе нові грані російської літератури!
