At one time, the book of the famous literary researcher Abram Tertz (Andrei Donatovich Sinyavsky) “Walking with Pushkin” had the effect of a bomb exploding, first in the circles of Russian literary emigration, and then - with no less force - on domestic soil. The irony and demonstration of the internal contradictions of Pushkin’s thoughts and feelings, clearly expressed in “Walks...” gave rise to incessant controversy. However, sincere and genuine love for the poet allows Tertz, firstly, to awaken in the reader a lively, passionate interest in Pushkin as a person and an artist, and secondly, to reveal and develop, moving away from the usual cliches, Blok’s well-known formula “The Merry Name Pushkin”. For teachers of secondary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums, students, graduate students and teachers of humanities universities, as well as for everyone who values Russian literature.
