Tomas Gosta Transtromer was born on April 15, 1931 in Stockholm. The greatest Swedish poet of our time, winner of the 2011 Nobel Prize in Literature “for the fact that his brief, translucent images give us a renewed view of reality.” This selection includes, in addition to poems of modern times, poems from the book “Klanger och spar” (“Sounds and Traces”, 1966).
