“Half a century of love” - that’s what Voiskunsky called his Main Book, many years of work. The author's biography unfolds like a memoir novel from the late 30s to the late 80s. There are many events in the life of the country. The author was lucky to survive, and he seems to be conducting a dialogue with his own fate. And it is tightly intertwined with the fate of a girl from a parallel class, to whom Voiskunsky declared his love at the school prom. Their relationship, their half-century-long love, forms the basis of the plot of this memoir novel.
