Europe on the eve of the catastrophe - the First World War - became a place of collapse of national identities. When everything around you is crumbling and rushing into burning chaos, how important is it who you are? French, German, English? Or is it much more important to remain just a Person without special properties, but capable of saving the life of a small child? The hero of this play is just such a person without qualities - small, inconspicuous, who by chance found himself in a multinational company at a railway station. A misfortune that befalls another person, like a litmus test, reveals the nature of a man: “small” in the world, he becomes a “giant”, protecting the weak. But who will protect such a big little man when he needs help?...
