The novel “The Professor’s Daughter” (M., 1974) was translated into Russian. P. Paul Reid's novel "A Married Man" is published with slight abbreviations ("A Married Man". London, An Alison Press Book, Seeker & Warburg, 1979). In appearance, it follows the tradition of the “family chronicle.” The writer subtly emphasizes how fragile the apparent “prosperity” of Great Britain in the 70s actually was.
