1826 Intelligence of the Black Sea Fleet intercepts a report from a Turkish agent, signed with the code name Menelaus. The fleet commander instructs his favorite student, Prince Ordyntsev, to find and neutralize the spy. The tracks lead Dmitry to St. Petersburg, and here he is forced to ask for help from the new capital's bailiff, Captain Shcheglov. Книга "Полювання на Менела" вражає своєю атмосферою та історичним контекстом. Автор майстерно поєднує елементи детективу та історії, створюючи напружений сюжет, який тримає читача в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Персонажі, особливо князь Ординцев та капітан Щеглов, прописані дуже детально, і їхні стосунки викликають справжній інтерес. Взаємодія між ними, а також залучення високопосадовців до справи Менелая додає глибини та складності сюжету. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має незначні недоліки, загалом це не заважає насолоджуватися читанням. Рекомендую всім, хто любить історичні детективи з елементами шпигунства та інтриг!
