The book presents selected stories of the popular humorist writer Arkady Averchenko (1881–1925) at the beginning of the 20th century. Among them are actually humorous works, where Averchenkov’s cheerful laughter sounds in full voice, and stories “with sadness”, only colored by the author’s inherent humor, and works about children written with warmth and sadness, interesting equally for both children and adults. p>
